Trying to find the darkest self tan

I am hoping too - I would say that my skin tone is always a little 'tanned' anyway, without using anything so maybe I will need 2 coats? It really is like painting it on and it isn't sticky at all which is great!
Feline, what is the latest one you bought? How big a bottle is that for £60?!
Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.0 -
It's the Disco one on here http://latanning.co.uk//index.php?cPath=29 they have a special offer so you get 2 1L bottles for £60 - which is a lot of tanning!!
If your one of the lucky people that have naturally slightly tanned skin you will probably need much less, I expect you will have a nice dark colour after 2 coats!0 -

I just ordered the 18% solution from la tanning, my £10 voucher never arrived - I had a feeling it wouldn't so just ordered it anyway, it actually came to £69 as the £60 wasn't including vat, which was a bit annoying.

I didn't do mine again last night, although i only did my arms face and chest it has come out lovely-my face looks so tanned especially!!! I think i may stick to using it from the bottle with a mitt and make up sponge as that was really good for areas around elbows, face etc.....i am thrilled with it and have already recommended to 2 people!! Thankyou so much to everyone who posts!!!
Looking forward to hearing how the 18% goes FelinePrincess!
I will try 2 layers nxt week as have a hen do next sat and it has a white theme so want to be really brown so my dress shows up!!0 -
I'd like to ask the opposite question, but didn't want to start my own thread... I'm very fair skinned and want a fake tan (preferably salon-applied) that won't be too dark or orange in any way! I've heard St Tropez is best as it matches your skin tone... is that true?
I usually use Dove gradual tanner on my legs, I like a really light colour to perk me up but am not interested in being extremely brown - I wouldn't go that colour naturally and do quite enjoy being pale skinned! But my mum is getting married in a month and I want to give a proper spray tan a go for that.
I would go have a try first but at £30 a go and only a month 'til the wedding, I'm going to wait and hope for the best. Do you tanning aficionados recommend St Tropez, or something else for fair skin?
Thank you!0 -
I personally have only had a spray tan once and that was about 6 years ago so wouldn't really be able to advise on that but I'm sure if you give the salon a call and explain what you want they will be able advise if it's something they can do. If you can't go for a practise tan I would strongly recommend using a salon that has been recommended to you by friends as once it's on your stuck with it for a few days! I'm sure Glowgirl or one of the other tanners will be along soon with some expert advice!
But, if you are happy with the colour you are getting with the dove gradual tanner why not just stick with that? At least you know it works for you and you could spend the £30 on something else, like a nice set of acrylic nails or a massage

Thanks FP, I am happy with the Dove stuff but I only use it on my legs and would prefer an all-over glow for the wedding! And I've never had a spray tan and quite fancy one! My sister wants one too so at least if it all goes horribly wrong I won't be the only orange one! :rotfl:0 -

Hi, they have them in my local boots and a similar one in my local superdrug so it might be just a case of hunting around, not sure about online but I guess a good place to start would be google and do a search.Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0
