  • Hi Pigpen please count me in,I am amazed at the difference in the house, kitchen has been started and d/w is on.

  • Trying to stay up to watch the end of the golf, but its not going to happen. Anyway, I need to be up early. My lovely plumber is coming at 9am to fit a shower :T I cant wait :D

    Night night all xx
  • rosepink1984 I have no pictures yet as I have only just started it. I think it may take some time to finish it. There are about 14 appliqued and embrodered pictures of various sizes with patches surrounding them. I have never embarked on such a large undertaking. However I am quite an experienced embroiderer ans sewer so hoping I won't discover too many problems. As for quilting the finished article; I will cross that bridge when I get there cos experienced quilte I am not.

I don't know how to post pictures - something else i will have to suss out. I am pretty clueless re computers. Believe me posting on here is a great achievement for me.

  • Hi all,
    I'm in again please...

I am out all day tomorrow (leaving at 9am) as we are going to watch the Rallycross at Lydden Hill, so really looking forward to that... It's great as we used to go when we were young in the Mk1 Escort (showing my age now) and hubby got to race around the track then too... talking to the drivers was great but what is really sad is that now, the drivers are the sons of the guys we used to talk too...

Tradition is we stop off at a little chef on the way for an early starter... ;):D Only downside is when we get back, hubby is going back to Basingstoke pretty much straight away ready for work the next morning... :( Still, a lovely day together first...

Mind you, once he's gone, I will be able to get sorted out again (I get nothing done when he's home... bless him...)

Just carried these over from the last thread...

Me too! Except not the forms - just a reminder that I need to fill it in online.

I have a blackbird on the tree at the bottom of the garden singing me the most beautiful songs...

Same here - but have till Jan 2010 to complete them though... These are the friend I work for's Accounts - we've just upgraded the accounts system and need to convert everything over...(Oh, Didn't know you were a bimbo love??? Fancy that! ;))

I love blackbirds songs, so beautiful and relaxing, I could listen all day (if it wasn't for the screaming kids/parents/traffic noise where we are :rolleyes2)...

The chaise longue is my next project - I need to go to Terrys Fabrics

Hex, that looks brilliant - I love the chaise, what a great project - mind you, how will you have time eh!? I also want to drape myself over one Soappie, it's the 1920's feel of them IYKWIM - all decadent like...
Once you know the fabric you want, ring me as I might be able to get it cheaper - I know quite a few stockists and retailers now - loads of named brands, harlequin, romo, ect I can get most and they have been cheaper than Terry's before...
How will you get everything out? Through the window? You'll never be able to have a new bed...

Well done on the Ironing Pile Tag - want me to send you mine???? (please don't throw things at me...:o;):D)

Right, was about to post my list for tomorrow, but not much point as I won't be here - I will post after hubby has left and I can start to get organised again - then I will be able to get the kitchen done and it will stay like it... ;) See you tomorrow evening...

TOOTS - because I will miss you in the morning - Hope everything goes well (as it can) tomorrow for you, love and hugs and remember, we are all holding your hand and are with you while you are there... :A:A:A

hello peeps and Happy Easter everyone :)

I think I might be in again this week - ish.
Hubs is off tomorrow and Tuesday and we are going for A NIGHT AWAY WITHOUT THE KIDS on Friday WOOO HOOOO this NEVER happens but my wonderful friend is having them all overnight so we can go to the Gadget Show at the NEC (I got hubs tickets for Xmas) and then we are going to stay in Stratford (must book hotel).

Despite that I am feeling a bit fed up. Mainly cos I looked at our accounts tonight and they are in a mess again. We are trying to remortgage, some !!!!!! has used hubby's details to obtain credit and run up bad debt, hubby's having diffs getting it removed and mortgage provider wont lend until it sorted. So we are shelling out over the odds in the meantime.

We've just come back from 4 nights away in Wales, yes all well and good and lovely but paid for about 10 minutes before we found out about several financial disasters and we would never have booked a wee holiday if we'd known all that was going to happen. Can't really afford the hotel on Friday but the prospect of a night away without the kids is just so amazing it will be good for our relationshop which could do with a bit of help.
The 4 nights away was good but DD2 (18 months) wasnt well and moaned and cried and was very demanding most of the time, and one day in particular she just tantrumed (she thinks she's 2 already), and screamed and cried ALL DAY. She wouldnt even go in the buggy to be walked she kept climbing out and hanging off the side dangerously, wouldnt be cuddled, wouldnt eat, drink, sleep, play , watch telly, nothing. She was like a child possessed. We were saying we would have to find someone to perform an exorcism when we got back. And checking to see if her head was spinning. Anyone remember AsboBaby ? Well she is fast approaching being AsboToddler (except even at 19 months she is STILL NOT walking AARGGHHH). She headbuts when cross (which is most of the time) and its really hard to ignore a tantrum when she is headbutting the (wooden or tiled) floor. You can actually hear her head go THUNK.

So the post holiday blues combined with the money issues are getting me down, I stupidly had a nosy on facebook to see what my friends have been up to while we were away and it has struck me yet again how some people just have no money worries (I know they really dont its not just how it seems) and I find it really hard to deal with sometimes. Does that sound mean and selfish ?

Anyway as usual I find myself on here having a moan and promising to fly this week. This always makes me feel better for some weird reason!

Since getting back on Sunday I have done 5 loads of washing (and my machine is a massive Dyson one), have unpacked everything (here was SOOOOOO much of it to unpack as well), have hoovered and seem to have tidied the kitchen about a hundred times.

On a positive note I planted some seeds before we went away and loads have germinated - got 5 little trays of saad leaves seedling, 3 courgette plants, 3 tomato plants (thanks hex for these!). Peppers not appeared yet, maybe it wasnt warm enough for them. But still, how exciting!!

    Sorry for massive waffly post.

  • Thanks pigpen and toots for the lists and the stars. I am in again this week aiming to get 1 room to level 3 and 2 more rooms as close to level 3 as I can.

I am really pleased with myself this week. I have been playing catchup with many aspects of my life and I feel that I am making progress. I have done a bit of shopping (my bday treat to myself) and have not over spent. A bit of jigging the finances and have put a plan in place that I am happy with. A bit of catching up with friends and have decluttered my house of a pink Moses basket, pink bouncy chair, two newborn sleeping bags and 2 pks of newborn nappies (they are expecting their first, a girl, in aug). A lot of laundry and made use of about 4 great days of drying in the sun. A lot of rearranging the junk so that it looks like a neater landfill and some chucking out. A bit of cleaning and a bit of resting. A lot of quality time with family and NO SCHOOL work (I needed a break). DH was off sat night and we re-pasted the entrance wallpaper which was disgracefully falling down.

This coming week I hope to carry on cleaning and decluttering. Do the school work. Go geocaching all day Wednesday if the weather is good. Maybe go in to school one day to tidy my classroom and declutter my house of things that belong to school. Sort the clean laundry and get things ready for next term. Spend lots more quality time with my family.
The work will wait for you to finish showing the LOs the rainbow, but the rainbow would not wait for you to finish the work.

    Morning All

Going to do a quick HHC and put some washing on the line before DH gets up and we decide what we're doing. I want a bath as well although that may wait until tonight.

    Happy Birthday to LG's DH

Hugs Jill - have a lovely time on Friday/saturday.

I'll make a move and then I might actually get something done today

    Have a good day all
