    Morning all

For those interested in easter etc, some basic info here Easter coincides with the Jewish feast of passover and is also likely to be a the time of an old Pagan festival.

Thanks Rach, I found that link interesting. If anyone wants to know more about the Lord's Evening Meal here is a link with some info. As you say, Easter is based on a festival to the Saxon goddess Estera which became 'Christianized.' Many Easter customs are based on fertility rites and germinating life. It's interesting finding out about the origin of things isn't it.

Anyway, off to do more flying! See you later!

I'm getting there! Am also doing well on my declutter:

    • 1 tatty duvet cover that's no use to man nor beast anymore. 1 tin of balti vegetable curry that no-one knows who bought and is out of date. 1 lot of redundant papers from the notice board. 1 driver CD for a printer I no longer have. 2 leadless pencils. 1 worn out scourer. 2 packets of christmas chocolate coins - BBE April 2008 :o
    • 1 set of fixing instructions for a shower that was fixed months ago. 1 charger for a mobile that is no longer in existence. 1 set square. 1 old business card. 1 chewed and useless dog lead. 1 x lot of loose change recycled in £50.00's worth of notes courtesy of the corner shop :D - Note I did not cheat and add on every individual coin....
Off to finish off the kitchen

Well after hanging the washing out, I'm off to the gym to start my marathon challenge. Think I'll prepare my lunch before I go actually, that way I can have it as soon as I walk in the door.

    See you all later,

I have surfaced from DD's bedroom! By the time I'd emptied all the drawers I couldn't see the bedroom floor. However I have thrown 4 bags of rubbish out plus extras, filled the washing basket back up again with dirty washing:mad: and generally sorted things out.

Going to get dressed now and then have some dinner. We may eventually then manage to go out!

Kazw - she's only 7 so a bit young to be doing all the ironing yet. I've decided I'm going to sort out the rest of her clothes from the ironing pile and just put them away - at least then I'll only have to iron them once! Her uniform all needs to be redone anyway but I'll either do it when she's going to wear it or the night before.

    Afternoon all,

Have been a busy bee this morning but not with anything from my list!!! OH powerwashed the decking yesterday so have been out to homebase this morning to get some decking paint for him and some fence paint for me - also picked up 6 strawberry plants (there was an old planter left by previous owners so the girls are going to empty and clean up this afternoon)

I have 2 wash loads out and another in the WM, and the kitchen has been decluttered and the hob and oven are soaking in stardrops for later.

Hope all having a good holiday Monday will catch up later.

    Hi :hello:

    All of Monday's List completed :j:D:jToots !!!

Hope you all had a really happy and restful Easter! Have not had a chance to catch up with the thread, but will do later. As well as today's list, I have managed to have a good sort out in dd's bedroom. How do little ones manage to accumulate so many cuddly toys?? I have found homes for all her birthday presents, and I have got 2 bin bags full to go to the children's hospice. I have given the room a good clean and hoover, so I just need to put clean sheets on her bed, then it is all done. Just wanted to say thanks for the suggestions for the cupcake toppings last week (going to try buttercream and the cream cheese toppings). Going to have some lunch now and finish an internet shop for tomorrow. Hope you all have a nice afternoon. See you all later xxx :hello:

Tada! Oh Toots - when you have a moment, I'll have a Monday star please. And for good measure, I also did the living room windows too.
