*groan* ...... you could try spraying it, and leaving it to work in while you tackle the worktops? Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs!

Well I'm plodding through it slowly. Painkillers have just about kicked in on my back so might be able to get a bit more done. Tempted to go outside though rather than clean the kitchen :rotfl:

    Morning all

Woke up early hungry, but went back to sleep til 10am! DH brought me a cuppa in bed, I've had breakfast and have caught up on here. I reported the nasty poster on the other thread yesterday - personal attacks are not on!

Can I ask, does anyone else get a buzz from throwing things out?! I love it! I also find myself noticing how less than clean other people's houses are....I don't want to be judgemental but 2 houses i went to yesterday had manky bathroom sinks and I found myself thinking how pleased I am for the lists!!

For those interested in easter etc, some basic info here Easter coincides with the Jewish feast of passover and is also likely to be a the time of an old Pagan festival.

Glad it's the kitchen, nice easy day for me, will try and buy a mop when we're out for lunch as could really do with one:

Gryfon, I know exactly what you mean about the dirt being superglued on! The first time I cleaned the kitchen it was exactly like that! Now it's not so bad, altho I just spent ages cleaning the side of the fridge! It was soooo sticky and gross! I can't believe I keep finding horrible bits even now. I've been cleaning the side nearest the cooker but don't know how the worktop side got so bad. Oh well. Dot to dot!

    In my HHC I:
    printed out some stuff
    did washing up
    did the kitchen list

    Personal list:
    [STRIKE]Wash up[/STRIKE] –
    Write cards/letters to friends
    Sort out working tax credits
Empty and de-mould(if required) shoe cupboard

Magnificent Monday - Kitchen and dining room
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe worksurfaces
Scrub down the front of units and large appliances[/STRIKE]

    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Wipe and replace small appliances[/STRIKE]

    Clean oven and hob
    Wash sills
    Level Three
Wipe the table and chairs... clean cloth if necessary
    Sweep and mop the floor
    Thoroughly clean the cutlery drawer!
    Extras
    1. Degunge the fridge!
    2. [STRIKE]Run the WM's and DW's through a clean cycle [/STRIKE]
    3. Clean all the filters and door seals etc
I thought I'd nearly finished the list! It felt like I did loads! I'm going to have to get the hooover out, I don't think DH is ever going to have time to hoover.
I'm watching a tape of a Gok Wan programme, and have just found a bar of Galaxy choc that DH bought me but didn't tell me about! I'm going to have a nice relax in front on the sofa for a bit and then do a bit more.

Hello all, hope you are all well, haven't caught up with anything over the weekend, so(((((hugs))))) to anyone who needs them.

Off to find a list and get this place back in shape after a rather lazy weekend............
  • weetabix is the killer, it sticks like, well better than, glue!

just realised how unfit I am, have re-edged half a very small border in garden and am boiling and exhausted. Have to finish it though, as I go bonkers when DH leaves a job half done!

Gryfon - as others have said the first week of doing the kitchen cupboard fronts is the worst. I have 15 fronts (including intergrated fridge freezer and DW) and 5 drawer fronts, 5 worktops and a 5 ft pine table and 4 chairs. (I hate cleaning the chairs).
Only takes me 10 - 15 minutes now as well. Even if I haven't flown properly for a couple of weeks or more as the case has been recently.:o

On the HHC note I appear to be having one of my mad moments today
    I have -
Stripped my bed and put the bedding in the washing machine. That'll take two hours cos I put it on a long 60 degree wash.
Put the pillows and matteress protector on the washing line for a good airing.
Pulled the bed out and hoovered and wet dusted underneath.
Vacced the matteress both sides and the bed base and bottom.
Put bleach and cotton wool round the window sealant and washed the window.
Pulled out a chest of drawers, hoovered, dusted and swapped the portable TV for a big 26 inch one. Courtesy of ex hubby!
Hoovered the floor ............and that's it I think so far.

Now debating star dropping some marks on the carpet and whizzing the carpet cleaner over it, seeing as it's still in the bathroom from when I did DD's carpet on Saturday.
