Selling on an iPhone and Contract - How Easy?

Im coming to the end of my iPhone contract and the phone is getting quite old (i.e. not charging very well, grubby looking etc...) and Ive been offered an upgrade to the new 3G iPhone.

As I now no longer need the phone or number (Im happy going PAYG), how easy is it to transfer O2 iPhone contracts?

I know the phone is registered through me, and set up through my bank account etc...Im just wondering how much work is involved?

Im tempted to pay the upgrade to get the new phone then sell it on with the contract still valid.

Any thoughts or comments?

You can transfer the billing details to someone but the account will always be in your name and you will always be liable for any costs made on the account, o2 do not do transfer of ownership.

Give it to someone by all means, but do so at your peril.
