Easter Banner

I feel compelled to post this message to the site management about the blatant lack of a christian symbol in the Easter banner. Why do we have sheep and martin dolled up as the Easter bunny. Correct me if im wrong but easter is about the death and resurrection of Christ not bunnies and sheep. The banner is distasteful and offensive why djd you not include a referance to god or a basic symbol of the cross? Very dissapointed and let down by the site managment.

In fairness, the Paschal lamb is a Christian symbol, which would link to our Jewish roots too, but I have to agree that the bunny isn't doing much for me either.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Personally I don't find the banner offensive to anyone nor dis-tasteful, I don't see children getting Easter eggs as offensive, nor do I find the idea of the Easter bunny dis-tasteful, particularly to children.
Its like saying Christmas is offensive on MSE because Martin wears a Santa hat, ergo celebrating Santa rather than the birth of Christ. A little bit lame for an argument in my book dont you think?:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
"Marleyboy you are a legend!"

Marleyboy You Are A Legend!
Marleyboy speaks sense
marleyboy (total legend)

If there had been a reference to god or a symbol of a cross then all non-religious members would be offended. There is no winning solution to celebrating religious holidays on a public forum other than not to display anything.0

Ah, but the Santa hat does not make Martin look QUITE as ridiculous as those teeth. Its like saying Christmas is offensive on MSE because Martin wears a Santa hat, ergo celebrating Santa rather than the birth of Christ. A little bit lame for an argument in my book dont you think?
I shall be glad when they are gone.
In The Archers today, the pub landlord was dressed as the Easter Bunny and terrified one poor child who saw him without his 'head' on. Those teeth have a similar effect on me.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

But theree is a bit of difference in a paschal lamb and a flock of sheep who look like they've escaped from the Emmerdale or some other such farm based set/studio:p
I looked for the cross etc when I first saw Martin Had gone Eastery...only he hasn't really-he's just gone the consumerism side not the real meaning at allGE 36 *MFD may 2043
