I know 2 people who own these phones.

I found the nokia 5800 better for texting as there are a lot of different ways to text. Like alphanumeric pad to a qwerty keyboard, compared to tocco's only alphanumeric pad.

The nokia is better for multimedia and customisation like wifi, bbc iplayer, downloading 3rd party applications.

The tocco is better for style and the camera is amazing but its slow!
One thing that my friend says is annoying about the tocco is sending texts is slow, like sending grouped texts it gets queued and you have to wait. Also you cant customise anything, except a few widgets on the screen. (dragging 2 widgets basically fills the screen up)

Overall feel of the phones, the nokia is plastic and cheap. The tocco was solid and really stylish.

Sorry i couldnt give you a direct comparison on anything else, i have only just "played" with each phone for a few mins.

I've got the N5800 now and had the Tocco before. I definitely prefer the Nokia. I agree with what's been said above, especially about texting, it's so much faster and easier on the 5800. The Tocco feels more 'solid' and well built and has a slightly better camera, but that's the only things it has going for it. Definately choose the Nokia.

I have a Nokia 5800 and love it although I have not used the Tocco.
I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T

I had another play with the tocco today, didnt realise how bad the sensitivity is compared to the nokia!
The scrolling on the tocco was so bad, it was hard to get exactly where you want without it scrolling madly past. This was compared to nokia's easy drag the scroll bar down, smooth and follows your thumb/finger.
  • On the downside for the nokia however is that there seems to be a delay in repsonse. My sister has the Omnia I think, and its much better response. Don't know about the tocco.

Still don't regret getting the nokia though!
