At the moment I'm on benefits, but was on about £14,000, debts of £17,000 ish.
Get rid of them ASAP is my advice (for what it's worth lol)
Edit: Just wanted to say ~ you can always find someone else in a worse position to yourself ~ which does make you feel better. But still I would say, concentrate on getting rid of them debts, then you can feel freeeeeeeDFW Nerd No 953 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -

Thanks, I didn't worry about it before when I was living in my flat, but now I've relocated and can't even think about selling the flat, staying with relatives, needing a new car and to rent somewhere, I keep thinking it's not ideal at 32!
I feel better after payday and a paid bill though!
I hope your debt plan works out. Sounds like a good move for you.

That's very true. Before I moved I was mixing with 2 people who had £50K of debts and both ended up on IVA's. I used to say to myself "I've only got 5, 10, 15K debt etc in comparision" but that's not the way to look at it.0 -
Doh - debt collection agency!?!?!!?!?!

Debt Collection Agency. They read this and similar boards and work on the information if they can tie it to you. There is enough of mine out there for this.Little_Chicken wrote: »Whats a DCA?
If you have ever dealt with one and wondered why they want to know all that stuff that you feel isn't relevant to your situation, the answer is in this long but excellent and informative post.
