Must have been very serious, they sell to anyone. No offence meant, you are better off.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
CarCraft are to car dealers what Payday Loan Companies are to personal loans.
The qualityof the service/product and the costs involved are such that only the truly desperate use them.
They thrive in Enfield as the local oiks all yearn to drive BMWs at the age of 20 to 25, regardless of how much they cost in the long run.
A lot of their stock has little or no service history, CAT C & D write offs, thrashed pool cars etc.
CarCraft is really God's way of tellling you that you should not be getting a car on finance at the present time.
Interestingly enough I saw one of their ads on TV earlier, I think it was a £4k car, with £99 deposit, £99 for the first 12 months and then another 48 payments at £X... End result was nearly £8K for a car that will probably be 8 or 9 years old by the time you have paid it off.0 -
I can only back up what everyone else has said on here, Myself and my wife went in a couple of years ago We had a spotty oik trying to sell me a car but as an ex mechanic with 10 years experiance i soon had him tied up in knots, I asked him what experiance he had and he told me that he has only worked there for 3 weeks previously worked in a factory! But we went along with it and walked around for almost an hour for him to try and find the kind of car we were looking for (VW Golf) and he couldnt seem to find any and instead tried to sell us a "Nice Hyundi" when I questioned why all the cars seemed to be about £1200 more than the book price he said " well we never claimed to be the cheapest" F*ing understatment there mate
We call it Carcrap for a reason. sing it along to the ad next time:D0 -
I did warn him but...... we will see. They did ring him yesterday like they said (I'm surprised) for collection tomorrow. I did HPI it on line for him, its clear. 2 owners from new, the first BMW for 6 months then the second till now. Still trying to get the present owner on the phone. The second owner sold it 3 months ago.0

When i was young and niaive we were tempted by the low deposit and low monthly payments. In fact we drove from the North East to their Sheffield branch!!
We chose a car, took it away there and then and it was only a few days/weeks later we found that the drivers door. passenger door and ignition all used different keys, because we had central locking we never checked.
No idea why they had different locks, but something serious must have happened to the car at some point or a numpty had carried out some work on it!!0 -
Avoid it. Bunch of rip off merchants0

Stolen recovered?
They obviously didn't use the main dealer to put it right (they would have changed all the locks in the set).
No doubt they just bodged it with locks from a scrappy (as I used to do when my cars were broken into)0 -
Carcraft???
My whole family is going mental due to two naive teenagers and "the most despicable standards" as quoted by the financial ombudsman.
In this economic climate can you explain to me how they give a loan of £9436 to a student with no income? An apprentice on an income needed a guarantor, but a student with no income did not?
We now have a the problem of a 19 year old girl with a debt she can in no way afford, she has nothing coming in, is at Uni on a student grant, the car wasn't even put into her name, but her boyfriends (the apprentice, aged 18). After being 'held' and pressured into an unwanted sale for 4 hours, finally released at 9pm and followed home by the salesman. The lad was the one that wanted to change car - at a reasonable price, but needed a guarantor, so when they phoned parents, they were told to come home, discuss it, and that the parents would go back with them the following day to discuss finance. However, this lot were in no mood to lose, so told the girl she could take the loan, and kept them there until the poor kids were so exhausted they signed anything! They even let them take the car there and then with NO ROAD TAX - saying that they were giving them a week free before they had to pay!!!!
The NAC insurance is Carcrafts own, not as it looks an independant company. The papers are signed (being told a one off payment of £45) prior to being filled in, then when the documentation arrives much later you find it's an additional £45 a month for 5 years??? Plus a monthly life insurance payment of £6.79 over same 5 years.
The car cost £4,400 (they only wanted to spend up £1500), told £300 PX and to pay out £100 deposit - that in total comes to £6988, + NAC + Life Ins. £9436 plus loss of previous car and payments of £384.
So now what do we do? Anyone?

All I can say is Oh dear! I think you cancelation rights are about zero.
I would look at selling the car (difficult as it has loan on it) and trying to pay off the loan now however possible.
This is why finance should be taught in schools, I know I can't spell but that is not ever likley to cost me 5 grand in intrest and charges!0 -
My advise don't buy, we did they tried every trick in the book but we said forget in then and they backed down and agreed to our terms .0
