Even if they caught the ar*ehole/s, they would only give them a caution, bring back the stocks, let us all get our own back on them, see how they like it.
Yep they caught the person who kicked my car in and the police called me to tell me they'd been given a caution :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Like that's some sort of punishment, and I bet they had loads of previous too. If I caught them and smacked em one I'd be inside now, lol.

It's not worth reporting it to the police tbh unless you are going to claim on your insurance. It just means that your next year premiums may go up, because once you've made it 'official' you will have to tell your insurers, even if you are not claiming.

I've got an old car that's a bit scabby. Some retard keyed the driver's door window, putting a massive scratch into it.
    Happy chappy

Just seen an advert outside halfords - scratch repair from £65. This obviously wont be the full body shop type repair but has anyone used halfords to repair scratches and if yes was it worth it?

    Thanks

I know exactly how the OP feels, as I have had my car keyed 3 times in 8 months by the same little **%%###

Its cost me £800 in total to put right, and it would have been alot more if I had gone through the insurance, plus I would lose my NCB. I used Chips Away to fix it each time, and the work was fairly decent.

Not alot you can do - I had the police out on the first 2 occasions but didnt bother for the third. They werent interested anyway, gave me the "we patrol this area at night" etc etc and "could you not park it somewhere else" etc etc. Now if I had been speeding, fighting, urinating up a lamp post then Im sure the police would have been very interested then.

I was left with 2 options. Either hide nearby with a loaded shotgun, and give them "what for" or park my car elsewhere until i can move. I went for the latter fortunatly, otherwise I would end up the criminal.

According to the police reported crimes like these has gone down...... In reality its gone up but nobody bothers to report. The police are useless and never catch the scum that do these kind of acts!

About 3 weeks after getting our present car we had it keyed. They'd keyed it right down to the base metal - 2 doors and 2 panels. We reported it to the police but we knew there was nothing they could do. We claimed it off our insurance as we had metallic paint. I can't remember what it would have cost us, but I knew it was worth paying £200 insurance excess to get it sorted (we had protected no claims).

I'm not a violent person but if i'd caught the person who did it....!

We then paid £2000 to get a drive put in so it wasn't on the street anymore - and we lived in a pretty quiet street with plenty parking spaces.

It's been almost 4 years now and the paint still looks as new, so the body shop did a good job.
