Car keyed. Very upset.

Some little !!!!! has keyed my car. Its been a few hours but I'm still really fuming

I don't get why !!!!!!!!s do such a things on purpose. Parked it on the next street, about 50m away. Two big marks running through both the left side doors and a medium squiggly mark on rear door(kind of like a 's' or snake).

Is it even worth reporting to the police? What kind of bill would I be expecting to get it fixed?

If I had caught the !!!!! he'd have had a good life lesson from me.

Snap. Driveway only big enough for one car so wifes car is left in road outside our house. Went out this morning and some **** had keyed the side of her new car.

Appears to be quite deep and can just about see bare metal but no indentation visible in the metal.

I guess cost of repair depends on how deep the scoring is and whether the panel has been pushed in.

I have gotten minor scratches out of previous cars with t-cut but this one looks deeper.

My car got sone whan I had them on the street, but I left the scratch untill I was selling it the following year cos some litte tvvat would probably do it again...
  • I have every sympathy folks and if i ran the country the useless swine would be publicly flogged.

Just think though the likes of them will unfortunately breed and inflict worse on each other in due course, of course thats assuming they ever get a job and buy something other than drugs, as the old saying goes what goes around comes around.

I understand your reasons for leaving the scratches Harvey, but it's a bit rich having to drive round in a damaged vehicle and only having it nice when you're selling.

To the OP, a regular poster on another forum had a very deep keying similar to yours, far too deep to polish out, he got one of the many smart repairers (dentmaster, chips away etc) to do the business.
He posted pics for us and the job was perfect.

This happened to my DD it cost £250 to repair but as someone said it depends how deep etc.. she did report it but no CCTV so no chance of catching the culprit.

No it wasn't a polishing job, he painted the entire scratch along the whole side.

This happened to me when my vehicle was new, parked at a health centre in Walhamstow. (Car is a convertible, the scratch was in an area that is known to be expensive to replace). At first I was really shocked and thought "who hates me enough to do this?" and then realised it wasn't anything to do with me, someone envious enough of the care must have real problems...haven't had it fixed though because it will only happen again.

Happens to my banger too. Including having the body panels kicked in. Why anyone would be jealous of a 1994 Skoda is beyond me though (although I suppose it could have something to do with living in a crap area where few other people have cars, so any car is something to be jealous of). I guess I'd be more livid if it was a newer nicer car though - but even then I suppose you either got to put up with the damage or pay for it to be repaired, and there's no point worrying about something you can't change (both the damaged car and the retards who did it).

Even if they caught the ar*ehole/s, they would only give them a caution, bring back the stocks, let us all get our own back on them, see how they like it.
