Advice needed please - Interview with police on Tuesday

Thank you for your comments.
Another point I came across in the notes is that two meetings I attended at work where the PC was present are classed as investigation meetings in the notes.
Looking at ACAS guidelines it statesWhere the police are called in they should not be asked to conduct any investigation on behalf of the employer, nor should they be present at any meeting or disciplinary meeting.0 -
"Where the police are called in they should not be asked to conduct any investigation on behalf of the employer, nor should they be present at any meeting or disciplinary meeting. " ACAS
It looks like the employer has cut their own throat here at tribunal. they cannot now claim any investigation was "fair and impartial" if police who were conducting their own investigations, were present at any DP related meetings of the OP and employer. Of course the police would take against her, she was the easiest and most convenient person to try to fit up, their very presence in any meeting is repugnant to procedural fairness imho.0 -
i've only just found this thread, sexyeyes, you have been treated really badly, but have coped brilliantly, i am so glad to see you have found another job.
i wish all the best at the tribunal in march.0 -
Hi Sexyeyes,
I have just read your entire thread with great interest. I thought I'd had a bad time with my former employers (for very different reasons), but yours takes the biscuit. What an incredibly difficult and stressful time for you - I'm glad you've had the support of your OH.
I am also pleased to see you have not given up. Please don't underestimate the importance of making sure your former employers understand your resolve for justice and that you are taking this all the way to the ET.
Of course, you may well decide, if they make you a good enough financial offer, to drop the ET. This is what I chose to do, even though I was incensed at the actions of my former employers and felt they deserved to be named and shamed. But ultimately, this was about me, and I chose to extract a good enough settlement to take some time off to recover from the nightmare and change my career.
My former employers' understanding that I had the resolve to take my case to the ET was however, key to this negotiation. I certainly wasn't bluffing, but it did focus their mind.
Good luck, I will continue to follow your progress!!

Thank you for your messages. Im guessing it must have taken quite some time to read through this thread!
Might have found another interesting error in the notes which is currently being looked into for me, so should find out in a couple of days!0 -
Hi Sexyeyes,
I have read through your thread and am appalled with the way you have been treated:mad:
I wish you all the luck in the world regarding the ET and hope your ex-employers get what they deserve....;)If your neighbour's grass is greener, its time to water your lawn!:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Things seem to get worse as you dig deeper!
Back in 2007 I was employed by another care company called "ABC Care" (not the real name) I was employed for about 10 months however left when the hours started to go down.
In one of the notes ive got it states"DC xxx has found sexyeyes name being linked to an Adult Protection instance from when she was employed by ABC Care. No legal action was taken against sexyeyes"
When I read this I had no idea what it was about. I phoned up the MD of ABC Care who looked through all the Adult Protection cases back in 2007 and couldnt locate any details about what this was concerning.
Today I spoke to the DC who advised me on the police system it stated that whilst the lady was in my care, she fell outside a pub and £60 went missing from her handbag. This confused me even more because with neither care company have I ever taken a client outside of their house! The DC gave me the dates and I went back to the MD.
He looked into the matter all afternoon and emailed me through a few details. Apparently a lady I visited went out the day before with her family for a meal. She had £60 in her handbag, however her brother paid for the meal. When she got outside she fell over and had to be taken to the hospital. There was a long que so she then went to a different hospital before returning home.
I attended her house the next day and carried out a call. I received a call from the office and had to write a report because she was not her usual self.due to the fall. He sent me through a copy of my report.
Looking at the details, the MD spoke to her and she said "as a result of my fall my handbag had opened and there were a lot of people around at the time" She didnt want the matter to go any further as she did not know whether she had lost the money when she fell over.
Ive only been made aware of the money going missing 3 years later and now my name is linked to this incident on the local social services system and also on the local police system.
At the time no mention of money going missing was ever mentioned. I was asked to write a report due to her fall the previous day and her confused state when I attended.0 -
Thanks for your reply.
Just to clarify, at the time no mention of money was ever mentioned. I was asked to write up a report of my call that day. Which is quite common when clients are not their usual selfs.
Its only now, three years later after looking into the matter further after the PC said to my previous employer -"DC xxx has found sexyeyes name being linked to an Adult Protection instance from when she was employed by ABC Care. No legal action was taken against sexyeyes"
I had no idea there was any problems at the time. I just received a call from the office asking me to write the report.
Its not until now, 3 years later after phoning my employer from 2007 and the police to establish further details as to what he was talking about in the above quote did I find out she had any money going missing.
Even the MD of the company is shocked ive been linked to the incident on the adult protection system and social services and also the local police intel system.0 -
I'm flabbergasted.
edit: Actually, I am angry. This kind of sliming of people by the police is one of the most evil forms of lie - one founded on some truth. Ultimately, anyone who goes near a vulnerable person who loses money is themselves vulnerable. The ultimate outcome will be that no sane person will work with vulnerable people, they will all be left to die in their own !!!!!!. It really is time for the police state to wind its neck back in.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Sexyeyes, I think you have grounds now to complain about the police investigation. Not that it is worth the bother, because the police can do no wrong in their own eyes.
Anihilator, for the comment I have highlighted, I have to say that you are about the most offensive little creep that I have come across in a while. If you read what Sexyeyes wrote, the only link to the lady who lost £60 was that Sexyeyes was her carer. It is not enough of a link for the police to make anything of, indeed it is offensive that they do so. You make yourself look as stupid as the police.
looks like police made the wrong assumption in 2007, and waited for something else to occur, to try to apply the ways and means act to fit up their easy target. Imho also Sexyeyes would be wasting her time making a complaint to the police farce, as they are too busy ticking the easy boxes, and prosecuting frail old ladies who poke big fit hoodies in the chest therefore dissing and causing offence to the scrote. She needs to make sure that this tittle tattle and false assumptions don't become a reason for the new shiny stasi ISA to bar her from working with vulnerable persons.
Anihilator surely is a closet copper, either that or there are no easy kills to be had in Ogremor0
