Great idea - sadly we don't have a toaster at work and aren't allowed one.
The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

I really need to start doing this but once I am hungry the tin of soup in my drawer cannot compete with Mc Donalds next door and the chippy on the other side. I must get some will power.

Don't!! I have already been thinking that. First I blamed being pregnant, then I thought it's baby fat but now she is 13 months old and I have no more excuses

:T Make yourself a sandwich and get one of those toasted sandwich bags. then all you have to do at lunchtime is pop the sandwich in the toastie bag, put it in the toaster (most works have toasters or you can pick them up very cheap these days) and youn have got a nice lunch.

or by lunch time you end up with a toastie bag and some crumbs on your desk from the sandwich you ate earlier....
The one reason i won't take my lunch to work - it won't last till lunch,

I now work at home and find that because I can have anything I want at any time I want, I dont want it!!! I don;t get half as hungry here as I did in an office. Weird.

I used to have a tin of soup in my drawer, and rice cakes, too. Also, what about a loaf of bread each Monday and a jar of jam or peanut butter in your drawer to make sandwiches?

I used to have a treat day, usually Friday, when I was allowed to spend up to £4 on lunch as long as every other day had been home-made. It helped to motivate me through teh week, and sometimes I didn;t bother with the treat on Friday.

I have the same thing, SC - on Saturdays I rarely eat before the evening, but on a workday I'm ravenous by 9am. Very strange.
