this is going to drive me nuts when it comes to mine... But glad to know the chasing is a bridesmaids job!!!0

I've made up RSVP postcards to put in the invitation envelopes but even if people ring, text or e-mail I don't mind so long as I know who is coming.

I would agree with the suggestion of putting rsvp cards in - we did this, and even went as far as to put in stamped, addressed envelopes!! OTT yes, but we did get responses from everyone who was invited!!0

You need to do a ring round on the double!!
I would aim to capture as many people as you can tomorrow - it's a washout Easter Sunday and if people aren't away I would have thought they are most likely to to be at home with everything closed. Also a good time to catch up quickly with everyone.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Yes I am putting second class stamps on all my day do invite RSVP cards. My friend did this and got every one back - yes pricey but she said that she preferred to pay for the stamps and get replies rather than stressing and chasing people up!

I'm not sure if this counts for everyone but I wonder if people know what RSVP means, I'm not trying to be insulting but when my brother sent out his wedding invites he asked me what RSVP meant and said when I told him 'I wondered why you sent a letter accepting'
Still I've put it on mine and expect a reply back, a lot of people might prefer to use email or the 'phone to reply, I think etiquette changes so quickly.:A :

We are only having immediate family to the wedding and meal. 3 familys(12 people) have not replied. 1 being my nephew, who says "you know I'll be there", the other my future sil, who says"family don't need to reply" and the other my future bil. I know they are all going to be there, but it is just polite to reply. They have been told this. Future bil is getting married in July and I don't think I'll bother to reply to his. LOL
Out of the 80 invites sent out for night time, about 99% have replied.

Like others, I have put in reply cards, complete with fully addressed, stamped envelopes in my invites. The last wedding (well evening do) I went to, it took us ages to repsond as we couldn't find any decent RSVP cards, after that, we decided that we would just put something in ours, makes the guests lives easier.
I did the postal survey for about a year meaning I have a large array of stamps to use on both the invites and the RSVPs so it has cost me nothing to do this, aside from a few extra sheets of card and some small envelopes.0 -
I had a few excited guests reply immediately (we inlcuded an email address for some of our lazier friends but most did send cards!) but the rest didn't arrive until the last week or so before the date. I had to chase up 3 or 4 who we didn't hear from by the date.
I think the guests just don;t realise how exciting it is and how desperate for rsvps and bride is!! I will reply immediately from now on to any wedding I am invited to
