Wanadoo, how soon do they stop your connection

I have just signed up with Waitrose for Broadband.

I'm currently on Wanadoo Anytime Dial Up for which I'm paying £14.99 month.

Does anyone know if they cut off your connection as soon as you ring them to cancel, or is there some period that may be owing covered by the monthly payment?

I don't want to ring them and be without an internet connection for a week, the start date given by Waitrose is 13th March.

Would it be as well just to wait until the Broadband is all sorted before cancelling Wanadoo and just taking any extra costs?

Regards

Gerry

Once you have finished your 12 month contract with wanadoo you pay for your broadband in advance. So you should stay connected until your next payment would be due. The switch should just be straight forward. You have 28 days from when they issue you with your mac code and you need to cancel when your next provider is ready to take over your line.

think you mis-read the OP lol

their currently with wanadoo anytime dialup, and moving to broadband with waitrose, next week

the OP has nothing to worry about MAC's, nor 12 month contracts with wanadoo

Thanks folks, so I'll just ring Wanadoo and say I want to stop on 14th March and see what happens.

    Answering my own question.

When I rang they told me when my current payment for the month ended and gave me the option of ending then or paying another month.

It ended at midnight on 11th March and my Broadband starts on 13th March so I opted to cancel immediately and use pay as you go dial up for a couple of days.

    Thanks to all who replied.
