It was not so much the incorrect advice, more the reaction when Phil posted the correct advice.

To be honest the poster concerned dug there own grave with every post, but i understand Phil being !!!!!! off, it takes a lot to get slated for correcting wrong advice and to come back and keep posting.

I know what you mean - when I correct wrong information I try to be diplomatic and tread carefully so the poster doesn't think I'm a know all or something however incorrect information does need to be corrected so people know its wrong.

There has been the odd "spat" or two in the past from misunderstandings like this which has blown over.

Phil is too nice a guy for him to let it bother him too long.

I was involved in all of the spats yesterday, I've been talking to Phil today and we're both pretty annoyed over what happened. The poster posted on three occasions the wrong advice, two times very dangerously the wrong advice. We both tried to explain to the poster why we musn't type our opinions and stick to fact. The poster then got personal with Phil, Phil asked to steer the conversation away from the boards as it was unfair to newcomers to see this and low and behold it get very nasty through PM.

The third time I saw a very unpleasent personal attack on phil and tried to stick up for him resulting in myself being called personal names. Yes we should have ignored BUT it's not always possible when things get very personal.

I'm sickened that Phil is lying low, if he at all comes back and because of it I don't think i'll be arond much, certainly lost my confidence to post what I know. The poster was not a troll either, I have seen around the boards before.

There's more to life than the forum and when you can't sleep at night because of the forum then it's time to have a break. It's sad and I do very much Phil comes back but I totally understand why he's gone.
