Aw brill SSA, thanks for that, handy to know because I i'm going to call at the weekend to see it the cheap stuff is in. Unfortunately it was 7 miles of walking next to 60mph roads linking my village to the surrounding villages so nothing as fun as moor walking.

Wow Miche well done on 7 miles!! I really wanted a walk on the moors today but weather was far too bad up here.

Hi 5YP.....if you are near an Ikea then take in 5 old books & get your free £5 gift voucher/card . I got mine today...all Ikea stores are running the offer apparently in conjuction with Save the Children.

I went to Nottingham store today with 5 books & bought a shiny new shower curtain :j:j:j. Hmmm impulse buy but I needed cheering up !! I know this link is Croydon but the assistant told me today it was a nationwide offer until Oct 11th 09.

Thanks for that...... so if I take 5 books and OH takes 5 books (maybe even think of taking the kids (they're grown ups (nearly!)) we could get £20 of vouchers - for me to spend of course! Now .... how do I get OH and teenagers to come to Ikea with me? Hmmm... any thoughts. - Oh I know - I can promise OH a meal in their cafe. One down. ;)

    :j :j

What's more 7 miles is 700 calories used - probably more if you were cold. Well done thumbs-up.gif

My sister rang the Ikea helpline & they said that so long as you go as individuals then thats OK...so just take a minimum of 5 books each. There is no ID asked for either so I guess there is nothing stopping you taking kids etc

Actually Ikea breakfasts are really cheap...£1.50 ish & you get a plate full too. Mon - Fri is free tea/coffee too if you`ve got a family card (or get the leaflet in store before you go to cafe).

I go to Ikea alot can`t you tell:o:o:rolleyes::D:D:D

I do have an Ikea home card and also Ikea were one of my creditors! We used to go quite a lot and we have our own Ikea 'rules' ie we are not allowed to go on a weekend or especially a bank holiday!!! Been there before - never again.

Ikea wasn't fun last night, lots of excitable students flying around the place with their trollies. Nothing wrong with it all but it just made me realise I'm turning into a moany old goat!
