Happy Easter Bank Holiday Monday :)

I've just managed to claim my first £10 from cashinco, so I've made a start to the new challenge.
I reserve the right not to spend.

    Count me in.

I have "Found" ( around the house) / saved £80.04 - which I have been squirriling away in the "Payment a day" jar and have just transferred £9.77 into a bank account - rounding the account down to the nearest £10. Hope that these both count as they get me off to a fantastic start of £89.81.
    44 day challenge

    2. Lose 12 lbs (4.5/ 12)

I girded my loins and decided to make the ULTIMATE sacrifice (well for me anyway) and phoned sky to cancel my sports package. Imagine my delight when I was offerred a 20% discount for 6 months to keep the package. Yes I know - I can hear you all screaming at me - but the package will still cost as of 13th October - but I get 6months of free viewing and can still cancel it then - I haven't agreed to carrying it on.

Yippee - I have saved £9.10 per month (which is more than I would have saved by getting rid of the package) - I will add to my running total as it comes due for payment - but I am chuffed.

  • I decided to gather up all the small change around the house, and from OH's car. It came to a grand total of £19 and I found a scratch card with £1 on it. So a round £20 :T. Added to the £15 I had in my saving account it means I have £35 - not bad for no effort.

Only another £965 to go .

Hope you all had a great Easter.

Just stumbled across this thread and would love to join in that's still possible.

Got about £3000 worth of debt to get rid off and this challenge would be a great motivator. I'm already a member of the 'sealed pot challenge', '£2 savers club' and 'PAD'. :D

Looks like i'll be starting a 2nd job soon so the additional money will go straight onto paying debts. No frivolous stuff!

Enjoy what's left of your long weekend peeps. :T
