lets be honest it wouldn't cost much more to make room in the boot floor for a spare than under the car in a cradle and also the jack is stored inside the wheel under the car too! very poor design.

hole in the boot is a great design until you have a boot full of stuff to unload late at night on the hardshoulder in the rain

Agreed, also, how often do those under floor/cradle type tyres get checked for correct pressure?;)

more often as you can do it withouth having to remove it
