We tow an Argente 650/6 with a ford maverick. I think the argente is a brilliant 6 birth, although had a look on their site and it looks like Avondale no longer exist. We have a separate rear bedroom and separate loo and shower. Did you particularly want a brand new van? If not you may get a good deal on one a couple of years old?

    That's where the caravans are!!

You suggest caravenners cause no problems on the road!!:rotfl::rotfl:

MIDDLE LANE i.e another lane on the left of the caravan (for slower vehicles that the caravans will be overtaking) and one to the right of it (for faster vehicles that want to overtake caravans).

Theres a lot more problems on the roads today than caravanners.

poeple with caravans/trailer should have to pass a test to tow them just like psv and hgv lot, grandfather rights for the normall driver should be taken away for towing a trailer/caravan with a car.
there or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff

Hi we are thinking of getting a six berth van
Why not ask on the Practical Caravan online forum, I'm sure you'll get advice about caravans instead of all the negative comments about towing.
And before anyone asks I don't tow a caravan or a trailer or even a boat.

That would achieve nothing, and prove nothing, they are statistically better drivers than average anyway.

The people that should be subject to re-test are the oh so important plonkers that havn't got time to breathe, show no patience and try to overtake them dangerously.

And no, I don't have a caravan or tow anything.

Oh whilst we are on the subject of overtaking on the motorway there are TWO/ THREE overtaking lanes and one driving lane
It is the Muppets in thier cars who sit in lane TWO all day who cause the problems and caravans or hgv's

we can't use the outside lane

Are you sure? I stand to be corrected, but I thought caravans could use lane 3. Great big 40 foot American RV's can.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

If they pulled out to overtake, and promptly did so, it would be so much of a problem.

It's when they pull out and drive side by side for miles and miles especially on an incline, the whole group of normal people have to queue in lane 3 to get past.

Living like a snail may appeal to some, but don't underestimate the ill feeling the rest of us have. Caravanners ARE the scourge of our roads and cause more hold ups than any other group of drivers (trucks, lane hoggers, highways agency etc)

Now that is strange, it is always HGV Drivers that do that around my neck of the woods, usually on dual carriageways.
