Blank screen on my netbook :(

  • I'm not sure if this applies to acer, but one technique that worked with one of my laptops was to take out the battery and plug the laptop into the power (without the battery)

The tech support who told me to do this told me that this will solve any problems that may have occured due to static from the battery.

After the computer started up I just went through the process of shutting it down, then unplugged the laptop, inserted the batter and turned the computer back on. It then started fine.

Not sure if this advice will work. I know some laptops wont start without the battery (even if the laptop is plugged in)

    Good luck

Hi I took the battery out & started it up with just the plug, still the blank screen :(

Thanks for all the replies, looks like I'll have to make the trip up to Dublin to bring it back to PC world.
