Poor customer Service from e2save

It seems that I’m one of the unfortunate ones to suffer poor after sales service from E2save. I placed an order for the Motorola V3 on 11 months free line rental on the 21st of Feb 2006. There was a delay in stock and after chasing them up on 27th of Feb, i finally received the phone on 1st of March only to find that the phone didn’t come with the back cover.
I phoned E2save up immediatly and was told that they would send a replacement cover to me by Friday the 3rd of March, but i never recieved it. I have just phoned them today and after spending 5 HOURS phoning various depts of the E2save service helplines (God knows how much my bill will be!), have been informed that i have to wait a further 7 days until they can sort it out due to the phone being out of stock!!! I asked to swap the handset and they aren’t allowing me. In the meanwhile i have a phone, to which i can’t even use! I haven’t even opened up my sim pack.
In terms of getting billed, do i get charged from the day i setup the phone to Orange, or from the moment the phone is in my possession, or from the moment I placed the order and got an email from e2save? – I would hate to think that i’ve been paying for something i can’t even use yet due to E2SAVES error!
I’ve heard very good reviews from people in this company, so am quite shocked to receive such poor level of service from them, especially when the problem is so small.

The contract starts when you receive the phone so you are paying already0

Hi guys, may I ask how much does it cost to call a 0800 number (e2save) on a mobile??
I have 200 x-network minutes, would that be free then? or will i be charged extra??
Many thanks0 -

It depends on which network and which tariff you are on.“Time is intended to be spent, not saved” - Alfred Wainwright0 -
I am on Orange SVP 200 anytime x-network0

why are you phoning the 0800 number- it costs 10p per minute on orange price plans to phone this number- use https://www.saynoto0870.com and i beleive they have a non geographical number that you can use to phone it.
Alternatively phone the simply-fone access number (loads of threads already on this board about this company) and then use that to phone the 0800 number.Mark Hughes' blue and white army0 -
in theory, you can get through to e2save with any inclusive minutes using the landline number 01509 618500. that's the only number i ever use. be prepared for a loooooong wait, however...0

oh no! This is quite bad, cos i'm paying for something that i can't even use. I can't get hold of E2save as they are not accepting calls due to training now
I'm really tempted to cancel the whole thing but was told that i've gone past my 7 day returns allowance, even though i recieved the phone on the 1st of March (but ordered on the 21st feb)- The offer is really good i'd be gutted to lose it- Even with that i'd be paying out of more costs to return!
Really dissapointed with it all. It's my first ever contract phone phone too
