Sunnyday. The brand I have is Oregon although I think there are others out there. The price depends on how many sensors you have.I have 3 because I have one in the greenhouse, one at the bottom of the garden and one on my balcony(to protect my olive tree) I got mine from argos but I cannot find it in the catalogue now as it was some time ago,but I saw some in my local garden centre two days ago and I think tesco's might have them. They start at about £20 and go really expensive.
TRYINGTOBEGREEN whatever you do DO NOT pick off the yellow flowers they will become your tomatos and cucmbers of the future. As you pick off the ripe fruit this will encourage other fruit to grow. You do not say if your plants are in the ground or pots, they actually sound quite large for this time of year(inside???) discoloured leaves could be too much water, too little water or not enough food.At that height they will need feeding. You can buy liquid feed which you put in the water you give them.

  • teachergirl thanks for the advise, the tom plants are the envy of my fellow lottie neighbours as im a newbie. theyre in pots now at my house as i brought them home cos i thought they might be dying due to the temps.
theyre in pots with grow bag compost, i have not given them any feed as i thought u did that when they fruited.
from what u said tho ill feed them all tom an defo leave the yellow flowers as i picked them this morn.
  • Be careful tryingtobegreen not to keep changing the temperature of your plants either as they don't like this. Usually you move them gradually from one temperature to the other.which causes less strain to the plant. Also just so you know, when the toms get even bigger sometimes the bottom leaves do go yellow and you can pick them off. This allows the air to circulate and the sun to get at the toms and turn them red. Defenately give them a feed though. I'm Jealous of their size too!.
