Sorry Jellyhead didn't mean to bite your head off!!:o
I am a bit tetchy about this at the moment as I am trying to sell some deals vouchers on eBay and a couple of people have pointed out that the codes were visible on my listing. Apparently some people have been using these codes for themselves so when you try and apply for the deal the code has already been taken. Now it seems my buyer is a bit of a fraudster and is not paying so I'm understandably nervous!0 -
Is it possible to bank codes without attempting a purchase? If so, how?
CheersApparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0 -
hi bucksliz, have you sold your vouchers? i've been looking at some clubcard vouchers tonight because my parents want alton towers passes and have seen one where the seller has blanked out their number by putting a sweet over it :rotfl:
i just bought somebody's codes and he emailed them to me, i used them in my own clubcard account and ordered a 5 visit pass. it seems to have worked okay, they haven't posted it out to me yet but there's no reason to think they will query it as they didn't query me using voucher codes belonging to relatives.
if you can do the same thing with holiday deals then it's a loophole for getting round the problem of having names on the deals vouchers - if you log into your account and order your deals using somebody else's codes the deals will have your own name on
what's going on with your deals then, is the buyer saying the codes have already been used?52% tight0 -
bucksliz you can check if your codes have been used by going through the process of ordering a deal voucher - you can back out before the end of the transaction and remove your voucher code.52% tight0

Thanks Jellyhead, I have done that and my codes are still safe. The person who bought them has just not paid and has now unregistered themselves on eBay. A bit of a timewaster it seems. I'm going to put them up for 'second chance offer' but I'm pretty sure that Tesco will only post the actual tokens/tickets to the registered address of the origional clubcard holder. So the Alton Towers tickets you have ordered should be posted to the eBat seller who will then post them to you. I would be grateful if you'd let me know if this happens so I can plan how to sell my next lot of vouchers. Up until now I've saved them for holidays but this years holiday is paid for (with Deals!) and now I need to raise some spending money!0

hi, i will let you know. i paid the postage my seller was charging, and if needs be he will post to me, he was a friendly seller.
in 'my orders' on the tesco website it is down as coming to my address. in the past i have mixed vouchers - this is the 3rd time i have ordered using vouchers which weren't mine. i have ordered blackpool tickets using my sister's codes, and alton towers tickets using a selection of codes belonging to mum sister and brother all in the same transaction. both times the tickets came to my address. i also finally got around to registering my sister online and ordered alton towers tickets for using using my own clubcard vouchers and they went to her address. so it looks like it will work.
i have redeemed £110 in clubcard vouchers through tesco since they started giving online codes and they have only sent £35 out to me, so if they were carrying out checks they would have noticed that i have spent much more than i have collected. i don't think they check at all to be honest.
this could be a way of getting around the MFI/holiday restrictions, with the added bonus that if you use vouchers from ebay etc. the change gets put into your own account.
will keep you updated about this order anyway :-)52% tight0 -
I've just checked my onlin points balance and it says 0!!! I know there was atleast 1500 on there last weekend (I have a tescos receipt). Has anyone had a similar problem or should I give them a ring?July Win: Nokia 58000

My on-line balance always says 0 but when I get my receipt in-store the points are always there. Don't know why!!!Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680

Thanks for that quick reply Donna!
I was panicking that they had got 'lost' somehow. It has been correct in the past, but perhaps it isn't reliable.July Win: Nokia 58000 -
It sounds like the card and online account aren't linked, check online in my accounts clubcard details if the clubcard numbers are the same. If they aren't and you want to you can change the online clubcard number to the number on the clubcard you use instore.0
