You probally just got ms jobsworth, just try it next time with a different SA, I try to use the SA's that I know take coupons

People are posting codes saying the following:-

Came through with vouchers
With clubcard statement
sent with my vouchers on a general leaflet
Sent from Tesco via e-mail

I thought they should be for general use and not that person specifically - if it came with their statement/email etc., it must be for them specifically.

Is this correct?

These are codes that come with a 'general' brouchere sent out with vouchers and are not clubcard or person specfic.

I work for Tesco and to my knowledge nothing has changed.

The policy is:

Tesco Coupons - you must the product.
Non-tesco coupons - will take 1 if you have not bought specific item or 1 voucher for each of that item you have purchased.

I am not sure of the % ratio of coupons now as that is always changing! I know that you can not pay your whole bill in coupons!

Had no problems with a £1 voucher for a £5.50 spend on monday.

Yes, it can be very hit and miss with coupons. I've managed to get a £20 bill down to £5 before! It depends on how cheeky you're prepared to be and how embaresed you get by being turned down. Most casheers are sticking to 10% in manufacturer's coupons so I'm not so cheeky these days. You could try playing dumb and give them a handful and say "what can you take from these?" if you're lucky they'll take the lot!

Sorry - its a grocery code so unless you can find the item you want in the grocery section then unfortunately you can't use it.
