Evansangel wrote: »Hey everyone, Those of you who are on my facebook already know this.
But i went for the early scan on tuesday that GiSi recommened, and the baby had no heartbeat, the baby died at 7 weeks, but i didn't bleed.
Had to still go for my midwife appointment that afternoon and she got me an appointment with the gynae ward for the next day. I went in and had another scan, definatly no heartbeat and they gave me a little scan pic.
And i spoke to a nurse and she said i could wait for it to happen naturally, which could be anytime upto when i would of been 12 weeks. Or the surgary route which would be over and done with in 2 weeks.
As im going on holiday in 2 weeks i went with the surgery route. So Friday morning i went in for emergency surgery and was put to sleep and had the baby removedvia an ERPC.
They put it down as a missed abortion as i didn't bleed.
Im bleeding now and will be for upto 10 days
We are trying again after our holiday and they said i might get pregnant right away. So hopefully i'll be back soon
So i guess i should go over to the trying to concieve thread at some point.
Bye xxx

Hi, I've just been through the same, we had the same due date too, I had 2 scans which showed no heart beat and opted for a D & C last Thursday, physically I feel great but the emotional pain really hit me yesterday. Hubby and I are hoping to start trying again soon too, I'm usually on the TCC thread, take care EA0 -

Sami - yes please to gardener.
Our car park is always full so the road gets chocka. I suggested removing said trees and extend car park but apparently there are 'listed' trees so we can't.
Yeah the trees around there were once used by roman soldiers to hang people apparently!
Cheapskate Thanks for that although I doubt I'll be as lucky!Chris is in his cotbed with sides removed and guard added, he often comes to get in with us at around 2/3am and even hough he is sometimes up as late as 10pm still gets up at 7am every morning :mad: What happened to my perfect toddler?? he used to be as good as gold straight of to bed at 7/7:30pm and slept until 8/8:30am - I'm soo tired!

Glam, I bought my doppler from Amazon for under £30 and I still use it now (28 weeks) if Bubba has been quiet or I just want to listen to the heartbeat.

I was watching some on eBay but whilst part of me wants it the other part doesn't want the panic everytime I can't find it! I'm very lucky that we have MW's in work every week so I could ask them if I was worried.
Grrr just had Ipsos Mori on about taking part in a survery !!!!!! this is the 3rd phone call since Friday, and they wanted me to talk about the NHS!
I should have asked how much I would get paid :rotfl:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Hiya
Got back from our weekend in Rome yesterday but after catching up on a million pages of chatter, I was too exhausted to post!
Had a really wonderful time just relaxing with hubby. I waddled about a bit, had a peek at the colosseum and other bits and pieces and called at the vatican to see if the pope had time to bless my unborn child but I think he was having a lie in!! Hubby said he was very impressed that I had managed to waddle about as much as I did!
I slept better over the weekend than I have for weeks. Just spending that time together was absolute bliss and highly recommended! Felt like hubby really bonded with beanie as I had the time to tell him every little movement she was making and how I was feeling about everything.
The airline didnt ask how pregnant I was so my GP letter saying I was fit to fly wasnt needed. The seatbelt on ryan air was almost stretched to capcity though!
Managed to eat lots of pizza ( and only one ice cream). I want to go away again now. Next time we will have little beanie in tow. Its soooo exciting.
Burger King awaits me xxxxxProud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
I was wondering if I could ask the advice of anyone who's lost a baby - I really don't mean to upset so if you don't want to reply, that's fine of course.
The day I told ppl in my office someone told me that one of the other women had recently lost her baby early on... Luckily I hadn't made a big deal about it, just a discrete email and offer of cakes) Anyway, she said this other woman wished me all the best but was too upset to speak to me. I thought it was brave and compassionate of her to send her best wishes to me through her friend - I can't imagine how painful it must be to have such an intimate matter be so on display at work.
I've tried to be as sensitive as possible - I don't have to see her every day anyway but have tried not to give any more occasion for chance encounters (like in our tiny kitchen) than necessary. I've seen her twice and just tried to act friendly and 'normal' - say hello.
I'm not thinking she should want to speak to me or anything but it's more about not making her working life any more difficult than it need be. My pregnancy, assuming all is ok, is going to be more and more obvious over next few months.
If you were/are in a similar position as her, how would you prefer it to be with a PG colleague?
at the moment am trying to be as sensitive as possible without avoiding her or being over the top friendly... I know it's been difficult not only for us but also for the other ppl in the office.
I'm sorry if my asking is insensitive - I just want to do the right thing, even if that's nothing. Hope that makes sense... and hugs to those who are currently going through heartache...MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!
