  • My DH is another custard hater. My Mum even makes him his own special individual trifle!

I, however, adore all the old style school puds with lashings of the yellow stuff! :D

    xx
  • Glad scanning day went well, elle! And the company you chose sound wonderful.

skinty, is your EDD 20th or 24th July? It says 24th on the list. Mine's 19th and I'm 27wks tomorrow (you said you were 27wks on Monday which makes your EDD the 20th July )

It's both! By my dates, which is what I count my weeks by, it's July 20, but by the MW's dates (which she made up) it's July 24, so I decided to put my official one on the list but I'm still counting my weeks by my dates.

I'm not really sure why I do it both ways but I doubt it will make much difference to when Bubba actually arrives!

...We've also been to H&B for random items and spent almost £50 on bits of things. We bought some condoms, mostly for ease of cleanup of people and toys, and the woman at the desk looked at me and asked if it wasn't a bit late to be buying them. We didn't really want to explain ourselves.
 how rude I hope you told her to mind her business!
just quick login at my mates and another newbie to the mix welcome and congratz ...

'foof' is an official medical term. Just ask Sami or Mrs.T or anyone :D
ah yes! I believe the phrase was first coined by the lovely MFD who has now popped out a sprog and move on to the parents thread;)
Foof; noun, f-oo-f a colloquial term used to mean one's vagina :p:rotfl:

Guess what I had for tea........ BBQ!!!:p:p:p it was also the best BBQ my daddy has ever done! :T not at all burnt or over done and no trace of nasty lighter fluid (something my sis n I now associate with Daddy's BBQs :o)
I didnt laugh :(...I know it sounds silly but at first i actually thought it was poo for some reason! Although what would bring me to that conclusion i dont know? ...I put my finger in it and did that thing where you slowly bring it up to your nose to check it out and are tempted to lick it just to see :rotfl:
Now THAT made me laugh!! :rotfl: I did a similar thing the other day with a bit of "cereal bar" on the carpet but that actually was poop that had found it's way out of Chris's nappy :eek:_pale_

Damzel and Tia - I'm planning to get going on number 2 as soon as this one pops out and I want three in total, so I think I'd get the use out of it (can store it in garage).

My only worry and this is a worry with all prams really is where to keep it usually? our hall is small and we don;t have a porch. What do other people do?
if you're planning #2 so quickly after then I'd say don't get the pram! there is no way that Chris would stay stood on a buggy board now and he'll be 2.5yrs when bubbs arrives so if urs is even younger they'll most likely want to sit down so you'll be forking out at least £200 for a new double pram for 1 and 2 to use. I'd recomend the Phil n teds or icandy apple as both can later be turned into a double by buying a little extra bit of kit ;)
oh and I kept the pram in the kitchen or 'solarium' (sounds much posher than it actually is :p) as our hall is actually about 3ft square  but buggy is nice n small and light now so lives in the boot of car so I don't get the lounge carpet even grubbier by dragging the thing through it to get to the kitchen (kids and beige carpets REALLY don't mix!!)
We were taken to the airport by our friend's (who came with us) brother so he kindly used our carseat and kept it at his house until he came to pick us up again - I hated that we had arranged our own taxi transfer from holiday airport to hotel with a car seat and they didn't provide one!! I was on tenterhooks (sp?) for the whole 1.5hr drive!!:(
Air ports don't have locker's anymore (I think) it's security risk coz terrorists could put a bomb in one
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.
