Does any one know whether the coupons you get for extra points-( issued with your vouchers, with your name on them) can be used by anyone other than yourself? I have some I'll never use and am thinking of putting them on ebay if they can be used by anyone.
    Cheers :)

yes, they can be used by anyone, i've used other people's before, and have seen them for sale on ebay before, especially nappy ones from baby club. i didn't get many this time, 140 points in total for spending on groceries (dairy, bread, laundry and fruit, used them last night and can't remember the details) and 200 if buying an instore travel insurance policy.

it's not clear if you get 50 points for doing each deal, or just once. i got 3 vouchers this time and i wonder if it's worth using each separately depending on what deals i'm buying.

i got email from tesco about the 50 points, and mailed them back to ask for more details as it's not mentioned on the website, and got this reply:

    Thank you for your e-mail.

Unfortunately at the moment there is no confirmation of the 50 bonus points registered on our website.

However, for every deal you do on-line we do add bonus 50 points to your account and these will appear on your next mailing in August.

If there is anything else we can help you with please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Kind regards

but don't take my word for it, i'm confused about it too, i can't see anything on the website, no terms and conditions.

...So if i order say hotel vouchers i should do it £2.50 a time and get numerous 50bonus points added? Also, when you order hotel vouchers online...do you pay postage to get them to you?

Regarding the problems we've all been having with the 1,200 points for the Wine Club bonus code sent out in March.

This is really bugging me, particularly as some people have said it's happened before and it took nearly a year to get the points.

I feel aggrieved that Tesco originally told me it would take 28 days, then changed their story to 60 days, then changed their story to 6 months. Since they have broken their first two promises I have no reason to think they will honour their third promise.

Therefore I'm going to write to Tesco HO by recorded delivery giving them 14 days to send me the £12 worth of Clubcard vouchers owing to me. Whether this doesn't comply with their system of quarterly voucher mailings, I really don't care. I refuse to be held captive by Tesco's computer system. If they don't comply I will issue a county court claim for £48 via moneyclaim online (£48 being the loss of discount against my summer holiday, since that was the reason I got the bonus points).

The voucher didn't specify a length of time by which the points would be credited, but that doesn't let Tesco off the hook from a legal perspective. Having to wait over 2 months is completely outside the boundaries of what is reasonable. Therefore I have no doubt that any such claim would be successful in a court of law, and it's highly probable they'd settle out of court.

I suppose it's a little pedantic to claim through the courts for £48, but to be honest this is a matter of principle. I'm sick to the back teeth of Tesco's arrogance and the way they think they are above the law. You can bet your bottom dollar that Tesco wouldn't give 6 months free credit to one of their debtors, so why should their customers have to blithely accept these awful terms of business?

EDIT : Actually, I've just read the voucher in greater detail, and it DOES say when the points will be credited!....on the T&Cs on the back... "Points from extra points coupons will appear on your next statement"..... that's it, then, a concrete case of breach of contract!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Let us know how you get on taxiphil...I waited 11 months for these points last time...explained that in an email as didn't get my points for wine order in march 2006, stating I wanted them added immediately due to broken promises last time round.

"they'll be added in time for your August statement" was my response...still awaiting a reply to my following email

Good Luck, it isn't fair when they offer these codes for to encourage us to place orders which we might not have without the extra points offer and then don't honour them. Hopefully a stern letter might solve it for you.

hello folks, ive been reading these posts and other forums etc. Im quite excited about registering with tesco.com online. As there are some great deals with the points and money of groceries, etc. (codes, voushers etc.)

My main concern is what Ive been reading about codes not working when you purchase your goods. When should the points show up on your account, can you look at how many points you have in total. what if the code dont work can you type another one in or retract your sale.

I usually shop at the store and am only doing this to gain points.

    Thanks for help.
