I did it with Ecar, can't remember if it was 8 months or 10 months.

The NCB was put down as 1 year not how many months it was earned and has since been accepted by another insurer.

I think that Admiral also does the 10 months policy - they call it something like 'accelerator bonus'

Check out quidco to see who is offering big cash backs on policies and of course weigh up the premiums.

as some have said, elephant definatly do it, you need to complete the full insurance quote and then at the end of the quote you can tinker with your excess and also choose the 10 month bonus accelerator. i personally find elephant to be very competitive, always cheaper than any of the comparison site, usually by a good amount too. ;)

I have an 8 month policy with E-Car. It's been fine getting quotes from other insurers. But be careful you are answering their questions correctly.

Some insurers asked the question "How many years NCD" which is fine - E-Car have given me proof that they have given my 4 years NCD.

Others ask the question "How many Claim free years". In this case it makes no difference if you have 4 years NCD, if you've only been driving 3 years, they won't give the full NCD.

It actually worked to my benefit as I've been driving for 6 years without a claim, so got a bigger discount. But it can work the other way aswell.
