Anybody using fast4.net as dial up!!

I am thinking of changing from btyahoo surftime 24/7 and move to a cheaper provider. I would like to give fast4net a go but how reliable is it. Currently I am paying £14 a month with bt and am allowed 120 hrs a month. Does fat4net provide any cd? My e-mail address is at btinternet.com, I am not sure whether this is a web mail address and I do not use outlook. I also use hotmail and postmaster. Would appreciate some advice on this please. Thanks

I'll just shift this across to the Internet board for more responses.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. I cannot comment on fast4 - but zazizam (which I have experience with, as have friends and family) offer packages depending on time limits. Assuming you want around 120hrs again... zazizam offer 100hrs for £8.49, and 168hrs for £9.99 - it is still a saving, and no one I know of has been kicked off the service due to 'high use', unlike some fast4 users

Was going to consider Tiscali for broadband at 314.99, but the negative feedback is putting me off. I am very happy with bt but they are not that competive. Thanks for all your advice.

There is a complete thread on FAST 4 on the Internet/HomePhones Board, called FAST 4 CONNECTION DIARY 2. This will give you all the information you need, but I can tell you as a Fast 4 dial-up user for the past 3 years, that it is the best value for money around. They used to have problems in the early days with access during peak times, but for the last year since loads of people have moved to Broadband, there are no problems. The only thing is to make sure they don't creep your payment date forward each month, which seems to be a glitch in their system. Once you bring it to their atention they rectify it immediately. £6.99 per month, unlimited. Go for it !!
