Sorry to all who are waiting on recipes that I haven't popped in for about a week. I've been busy planning on popping the question to the other half and since she said yes I've been non stop planning our rings and wedding lol! Give me another week and a half and I'll be back on here posting recipes for you to try at home
Keep the requests coming and feel free to help each other with ideas and recipes (thanks to those who already have)
Congratulations!I'll expect my invite in the post then?

Hello Kwai Chi!
Sorry, but we just cannot leave you alone....... there are so many more mystery recipes to clear up!
This may be a bit of a long shot, but could you maybe put me in the right direction of how to make 'steamed pork buns'?
My DH used to eat these a lot when he lived in New Zealand and he keeps telling me it is the best Chinese dish he knows.
I have researched high and low, but I haven't found a recipe for them as yet. If you know what these are, great - not to worry if you don't make this or if it's not a practical one......
Char siu Bao....you can buy them from Chinese supermarkets in the freezer section or sometimes fresh and steam them yourself. IMO it's waaay easier and cheaper in sanity and cash to buy them.Well behaved women rarely make history.0 -
Congratulations on the engagement Kwai.
If you get time could you post a recipe for Chinese gravy?:D0 -
Kwaichi, congratulations on your happy news. Now get yourself onto the weddings forum and get lots of friendly advice on planning your wedding cheaply!
I made your chicken foo yung and singapore noodles the other night - absolutely amazing, thank you. I just had one question. I used medium curry powder (all I had in) and it didn't taste quite right. What curry powder do you use or do you make your own?
Many thanks and congratulations again.
