The National Housebuilder that we work for has released over 100 plots with their local branch. (pity we dont have jobs on all their sites!). I know that some of the concrete slabs were put down a while ago and there is new regulations being brought in shortly and that is why they have to build. However, i do not think that is the same for all the plots. Other builder says that they have seen a slight upturn in building. However they have still not paid us all the money they have owed us since last August/September!:rolleyes:0

MiddleThought I would revive this as it seems to be the talking point of the news at the moment.0

Like the majority -I am guessing-of the population my grasp of economics is limited. I look at the poll question and think of a comparison with my life span. I have an idea of the age its average someone of my sex in this country should die. But I have significant problems that mean really I could well not be here now...but I am, and plan to be indefinitely. On the other hand while in my mind I have an age I'm determined to reach...something else might go wrong, or alternatively, more effective treatments might be found....the economy, like me, is ailing. But it doesn't mean its going to lie down and die yet!0

I'd say we're about 1/3 of the way through, we technically entered recession at the end of 2008, we should continue to have falls in GDP through the rest of this year with things getting better in early 2010.0

MiddlePersonally I vote 34.78% of the way through but it's complicated by the time difference.
I guess I'll wait until it's all over and then claim to be right whilst flaming anyone who disagrees.0
