Hi

I have just started a direct selling business, selling cards and wrap etc to friends and the general public. I would like to make a small advert to put on a notice board at my husband work - and elsewhere too I expect - BUT I am pretty useless on computers! Are there any websites/programmes that would help me? I have a website so I need to advertise that also, but am unable to advertise on the Internet.

You can knock up a decent looking advert in Word if you put your mind to it.

https://www.cooltext.com is quite good for logos.

I'm not really sure what I want to do yet, I think I will need to fiddle to get what I want, but thank you very much for the offer, very generous! If I fail dismally I may get in contact though!

There are thre points I think you need to make sure you get into any advert
* Who you are
* What your product or service is
* How to people get in contact with you.

Sorry to be thick, but what is link swap, it is a small business, selling greetings cards gift wrap etc, sometimes through parties and coffee mornings, would that be appropriate?

A link swap is where you put a link to their business on your website and they do the same. That way, when people visit your site, they can also click on the links to other sites - free advertising.

Unfortunately, with this particular business, I am not permitted to advertise on the Internet, a crying shame. I do have my own website, but I can't put links to it anywhere else on the Internet. So I need to try and be innovative with where I advertise.

Thanks for the idea though, we do have another small business selling sunglasses on eBay, may be worth thinking about for that

Why can't you advertise on the internet? If it is only gift wrap and greetings cards.
