vodafone 3000 free text when you topup £5

Can anyone help? I sent off for the free sim from vodafone as advised by moneysaving expert two newsletters ago and have topped up with £5 but there is no sign of the free 'unlimited' 3000 texts. Is this a scam? Has anyone else tried this and had better luck?

    Hi. I also sent for the SIM. Have registered it and today put on £5.00 credit, but the two texts I have sent have both cost me. Have emailed Vodafone to enquire, but have no idea when I will hear back from them. A bit miffed.:confused:
