But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today i will:
- check online banking
- update spreadsheets
- send some money to savings
- storecupboard lunch and tea
- check and water all my plants and seedlings
- lttle bit of hokey cokey
- make a loaf in breadmaker
- aim for no spend day
- do something from my 101 in 1001 challenge list
- recycle something
- sparkle a lot

Hi to all the regulars and welcome to any new posters:DJust a little list from me today, had a dizzy spell during the night and blacked out in the bathroom leaving me with a cracking big lump on my head and a dodgy shoulder so virtually unable to move my arm this morning, might be a trip to casualty later if it doesn't improve any.
Hugs to anyone else feeling poorly or down, catch you later xx

I've had a rough few days, but been back to the doctor and demanded steroids:o 2 doses later and I feel so much better, pain is much, much less. My kids have gone to stay with my sister for a couple of days so can have a lovely rest. I got my scan date through - April 20th....sono rush from them then:mad:
Anyway, today will be a quiet one, I daren't do much:D- check banking - moved money to savings/clubs account
- scratchcards
- check ebay listings...no bids but watchers
- LSD - I just need a stamp;)
- Try and find an appetite and eat food we have in!
- Read papers online

Hi Everyone
Hope everyone who is poorly and injured gets sorted soon.
I don't know where the last few days have gone! It seems my weekend is getting even busier! My deep clean isn't going that well either - my back is sore so can't do too much bending over as it hurts and I need to lie down. I will book the deep tissue massage next week - there's a sports centre at work that does reduced prices for staff.
My list for today:- Make decision on contents insurance and purchase (hopefully through quidco)
- Cancel new insurance that will automatically start next week.
- Clean kitchen - cupboards need sorting; food needs listing; surfaces need washing; floor needs scrubbing.
- spend 30 minutes clearing bedroom
- walk for 30 mins
- pack up book sold on amazon and take to post office
- washing hokey kokey
- a few items of ironing to stay on top of it
- try and call best friend in France - been ages since I spoke to her.
- vacuum hall and stairs (if my back can cope)

Morning everyone :j
Take it easy SM, maybe a trip to the doctor is in order re dizzy spells? Glad you are feeling a little better MillyScarlett. At least you have a date for your scan now, and the chance to put your feet up for a day or two.
Today I have / will:
Finish work tasks I have given myself and go to a final meeting before Easter
.
Look at another thing I have been asked to do in spite of my holiday next week  I may have to be assertive here! I never manage to take much of my leave entitlement, but somehow everyone else always does!
Look at scary job application form again  (but I have decided to concentrate on this tomorrow and just get it done). It is weird, I am always really good at helping students, my kids, friends etc with this sort of thing, but useless at doing it for myself - even though I have actually been asked to apply for this job
HM meals
Check(ed) online banking
Seen to animals and seedlings
Phone internet banking helpdesk as I have managed to mistype my password 3 times  and although I can still seem to access my accounts and move money about, I cannot register my new ISA

Put some more seeds in this evening
Low spend day - just a coffee when I have my meeting
Have a nice day everyone :hello:0 -
I did it! I paid off my loan! I am now officially debt free :T
*cough* Sorry, a little excited there!
I will still be hanging round on this board though because I have learnt so much and want to stay on the straight and narrow!
So, today:
Got a lift to work with DF rather than paying for the bus (haven't bought a bus pass as only in work today before off for 4 days)
PAID OFF MY LOAN!
Brought in HM chocolate cornflake cakes for work
Daily scratches - 2 x 10p
Off to parents for the weekend tomorrow, looking forward to a break
Have good days everyone xx
