I am looking for a cheapest handset I can buy, on pay as you go, mainly because I need a handset to trade-in at O2 shop.

Not sure about a tenner - but Virgin tend to do refurbished models for about £15.
Carphone warehouse to an ordinary Motorola for a tenner - and you buy £5 airtime - just keep the Sim and use it, and trade in the phone.0 -

Be careful - a while ago I was asking in carphone warehouse about a trade-in for my uncle and was told that they only accept certain models, and they had to come with the manual0
