Andrea, Can we have a making things section for stuff like ....

cards, presents, favours, renovations of furniture. It all comes under arts & crafts really.

What about people who make stuff via sewing, knitting, papercrafting, papier mache?

Please please please. I have asked in special occasions but the guide says no. I know loads of people who have come to MSE because of the other stuff, but as you know it makes people feel good to make stuff before stuffing the pockets of rich people;)

I tell tonnes of people to come here who start looking for the best loan/credit card but end up building their own yachts after looking at some of the posts on Special Occasions.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeze.

I'll move this to the Site Feedback board, where The Team are certain to see it ;) Board Guides have no say in whether a new board is appropriate or not; it's the decision of Martin in the end :D

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Actually the BG said historically MARTIN has said no :)

BGs don't create sub boards or boards, we just help them run as smoothly as possible.

I think this is a great idea Gangsta!

You could actually just re-name the special occasions board to include something crafty rather than a new board, just to let people know it is there as there are lots of "make your own.." threads on there (cards, scrapbooking, crafty gifts etc.) and lots of people branching out into make your own bags etc.

If you check out savvy's thread here...

she has an A-Z of craft/home-made projects already on the Celebrations board so perhaps a sub-board there might be a proposal.

No, we deserve a crafty space. A Place to tell each other about our purchases!

    Martin, we deserve a place.

Goodness I have just looked and it's really confusing. I would like to see an Arts & Crafts Board which is universal.

So the new title could be 'Make your Own'.

Sorry, I've never learned links or anything but Shabby Chic Cafe might be something that interests you. I'm sure someone else could oblige.
