Goodness  I guess this reinforces you get what you pay for. Sorry if that's harsh but the site is full of typos and grammatical errors. First line: "My name is Colin Smith; I have started this business wich is part time at the momenet, after family and friends said I would be a fool if i did not give it a go." I didn't get further than that, I nearly stopped at the incorrect semi-colon
I agree, and that font size is too big! It would sound better in 3rd person IMO.0 -

If you disagree, I'll just go on to point out spelling mistakes on your own website, the awful, broken navigation system and the blank placeholder pages.
Probably because it's not even finished yet... anyway back on topicJames0 -

Not sure I'd use a company who can't be arsed spellchecking or even finishing their own site. :money:They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -

Actually theres nothing wrong with using tables to make the layout.0 -

This shows that maybe the photographer is not so computer literate, so spelling and gramatical errors should be expected and his background may have something to do with it. The quote also shows that James is a very good friend of the photographer's son, which suggests to me the website cost either very little, or was free. Certainly, I wouldn't put all my effort into a project if I wasn't going to get paid the average.
I think the photographer's website is good if it was quickly made, and I like the navigation bar
Nonsense. If you design something and put your name to it, you have to take responsibility for it. Simple errors like this make the creator and the subject look bad. Spell checkers are built into every piece of software, so even if your grammar isn't the best, it'll at least correct typos and the incorrect use of "i".
I'm in complete agreement with weegie and sofa.
Spelling and grammar have nothing to do with computer literacy. Errors of this type should never been "expected", to suggest such is a sad indictment of people's standards.0 -

Apart from the fact that its not very accessible to people using a screen reader, they're horrible to edit, the code is untidy with <tr>s and <td>s floating about all over the place and these days its all about CSS
e.g.<table> <tr> <td> Content </td> </tr> </table>
does the same as<div> Content </div>
*styling excluded from both0 -

Not really... If the photograher has not been able to do his own website (which is pretty easy to do... there are several hundred builders all over T'Internet) then what is to say he understands what the red underlining means?? Ok, I would never let something this silly be put on the web, but seeing as the builder put it together quickly and designed it so the client could adapt it as time went on, I wouldn't expect the grammer and spelling to be completely accurate if the client is not so computer literate.
As a site builder myself, I don't check my clients sites for adjustments they have made for inaccurate spelling on a regular basis. For another example, if you built a swimming pool in someone's garden, you wouldn't go their every week to make sure they are putting the right chemicals in it, would you?The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.
