The exception rather than the rule I suspect.

I have been asking the Police to take action against someone who drove into me and is refusing to give insurance details contrary to s. 154 RTA. Its open and shut and not one of the 8 officers I have spoken to could give a stuff.
I had a similar problem, nutter with no insurance reversed into my vehicle, police took 6 months to write to me, saying they couldn't identify the vehicle or driver despite me getting a photo of vehicle and numberplate as it drove away.

They still manage to follow up 100% of drivers doing 35 in a 30 though.

    Sadly very, very true.

It does seem people have great confidence in the Police until you actually need them on what would seem to be a fairly open and close matter.

I long for the day when i will round the bend, after being tailgated for the last 5 miles by a fat !!!!!! van/mini-cab/7.5t flatbed tipper driver, to see them upside down crushed up against a tree. I will slowly cruise by chuckling to myself.

WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO LEARN YOU FUKWITS. YOU ARE NOT TOURING CAR DRIVERS. YOU ARE FCUKING DANGEROUS IDIOTS WHO CAN'T DRIVE AND DESERVE TO KILL YOURSELVES FOR BEING SUCH FAT HEADED, !!!!!! MORONS.

I am not attempting to argue the case for dangerous driving ,but having driven in a fair few vans along some fairly lengthy journeys where it is pretty obvious you are driving a bit faster than the car in front but every time a decent taking point arrives they see the open stretch ,as an opportunity to crank their speed up an extra 10 - 15 miles an hour making passing impossible....You then sit behind them for another ten miles as they drop to their usual pace when the road tightens again.
Thoughtful driving is about considering other drivers ,Yes white van man filling the rear view mirror is not good ..But surely if someone wants to get by ,then helping them along when the conditions are right is what it is all about

Fair enough but you come across as being ridiculous. Articulate an argument by all means, but a string of expletives helps nobody.

Oh, and just for the record, speed doesn't kill. Dangerous use of speed does.

Van and lorry drivers are the worst sort of drivers in my opinion. The amount of times I have been driving along in my low-down sports car and have had to brake suddenly to avoid one of these so called "professional" drivers.
