Can I freeze cooked chicken???

Do you mean a chicken pie with mash on top (like a cottage pie)? If so, then yes, I'd freeze it. I cook and freeze cottage pies, mash potato, chicken pastry pies, chicken curry - pretty much everything actually:)0

Yes I call it fowl pie! Thank you very much. I will pop it in the freezer once it has cooled down. xFootball Widow :footie:
Why are frogs so happy? They eat whatever bugs them!0 -
As long as it's thoroughly defrosted/reheated it's fine.0

I cooked a chicken (previously frozen) a few days ago. I have been eating it every night since but as there is only me there is still plenty left. I am now fed up with chicken! Can I freeze it?
I know you can freeze cooked chicken in a sauce etc, but this is just plain. Can I cut the remainder up in chucks to freeze then use them in curries etc.
Thanks0 -
yes. My rule of thumb is foods can be frozen once raw and also frozen once cooked. eg if you had meat in the freezer, took it out and cooked it, it can be frozen again (I usually divide it into portions)

Yes you can freeze cooked chicken. I am on my own too and prefer to slice it up and freeze when cold. You say yours has been in the fridge for a few days.how many days? I would only keep 3 or possibly 4 days
