Its absolutely fine to do hun! after all how many supermarkets sell frozen chicken curry? just make sure its thoroughly reheated again. you will prob find it tastes the same or even better than the original dish! Ive done it hundreds of times and usually make far more curry than I need simply so that I can freeze a containerful for nights i dont feel like cooking!

    Hi All,
A few weeks ago I cooked up a chicken, we ended up not being able to use it so I popped it in the freezer with the hope that it would be ok to use up. Will it be ok if its defrosted and then throughly cooked?

    Thanks

temperature is the key element of safe cooking and storing food...defrost in cool temperature...room temp is not suitable in summer.......and as you say.....cook thoroughly, ensure innermost parts are cooked (heated in this case) thoroughly..and bon appetit

You don't need to cook or heat pre-cooked frozen chicken. You can simply defrost it in the fridge and eat it cold if you want.

Rechauffe cooking (heating up pre-cooked food) means the food has to be re-heated slowly.
