Wonder what benefits they would get under the Greek system though as a lot of countries do not have an equivalent of DLA - we are very lucky to have such a thing in the UK.
Also the OP mentions about the winter payment - some people we know have moved out to Greece but still received the payment - Madness! They were very happy with the extra but of money to spend.0 -

They probably would be lucky to get half what they get off the UK system. I assume they'd certainly be entitled to something, but Greek benefits certainly wouldn't pay for that nice villa. Also the OP mentions about the winter payment - some people we know have moved out to Greece but still received the payment - Madness! Sheer and absolute madness, I agree. From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -
Why on earth do people in Greece recieve a winter fuel allowance? A summer cooling allowance may be more appropriate.I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?0

That is awful - Never knew that !! Is it for people who live abroad during the cold winter to keep their houses here heated !! Madness considering people with conditions that dont qualify for the heating payments and do need the heating on are doing without:mad:No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

Those that don't qualify have money, so there's no sympathy from me in this respect. The fact that they're doing without is due to greed, nothing else. From Poland...with love.
