Re:Quadcore Desktop XP DownGrade 3 Yr Warranty?

Re:Quadcore Desktop XP DownGrade with 3 Yr Warranty?

Looking For Quality Quadcore PC not for gaming with XP Professional DownGrade
Option on it.

Any suggestions

Yes an extended warranty would be a good idea to:)

I have had enough of messing around with Vista.

Samantha

A copy of Windows XP is a lot cheaper than a new computer.

    Why quad-core?

If you really can't cope with Vista and must have XP then just remove Vista and install XP, much cheaper!

extended warranty = waste of money imo (unless it's free)

    Or buy a Mac.

Or use of the many excellent and free Linux distros.

There's no need to wait for some future product from Microsoft in order to use a decent OS.

Dell offers many machines with this, anything with Vista Business or above can have XP downgrade rights, ring and ask - all Dell Vostros have it as an option (they are in their business section). I'd not bother with Quad Core for XP, a good fast Dual Core will be very good.

lol....it already looks pretty to me my dear fellow.

    Here's my post in Windows:

and here it is on a Mac:

Anyhow, I suspect the OP might want a quad-core to run all their key-logging programs.

Or are we not into that sort of thing now Samanthas?

Because quadcore is really fast my DSL is only 7 megs connection in the future we are
could be getting 20 meg 3 in 1 package or even Wimax :)

but thats only useful for a laptop.

Quadcore because Aldi's Last Dec2008 pc promotion was that except they packed
    it with dreaded Vista.
    :(
I did find XP on ebay but I suspect it was pirate and it could compromise the security of my PC especially with online shopping.

I know MS have stopped supporting XP though, plus there is the problem of getting compatability drivers with ones pcs

what should I be looking to pay? brand new copy?
Could I get a PC Repair man to install XP? everything they touch locally where I live they charge £80-00 or therabouts service charge

I know Dell are very expensive,
    What about Toschiba Desktops?

    Regards

I made a valiant effort NOT to mention keyloggers (though I was tempted to...and I was also tempted to ignore the thread...but it's 2nd chance Wednesday! :)

you missed the obvious...halfway through the windows version there should have been a reboot...cos that's what always happens...right? Or maybe a virus could have arrived and eaten half the text?

Is there any reason why the mac version of the text is blurry? I was looking for a pair of Elton John style glasses..with big £ or $ signs on them...to view the text through...but google images quickly failed me.

Plan B was to edit the images...but I'm not that artistic (I use a PC)

Plan C involved beards...but I'm not sure how..

Unless you need a quad-core computer, it's a waste of money, and it's not going to affect the speed of your broadband connection at all.

And that's the first time I've heard of Dell being described as "expensive".

Are we talking about the same Dell?
