My OH applied for this and was refused. Never been refused in his life, excellent credit rating, wage etc. When he asked for explanation the coded answer was that his credit rating wasn't what they were looking for. I took that to read that they were probably looking more for someone likely to default? Could that be right?
He had just obtained his report from Credit Expert, but only other search was for remortgage last year.Egg @ 3.9% until 1/7/06 = £1798
MBNA @ 2.9% until 1/9/06 = £5314
A & L @ 0.9% until 1/9/06 = £4743
MBNA @ 0.9% until 1/9/06 = £8768
