15 months Balance Transfer from Capital One

Capital One are doing a 15 months BT at 0%. They are charging a 2% fee on the amount transfered and to get the 15 months you must spend £100 by 1st July, otherwise it will default to 6 months 0%. They must be wise to BT tarts as the advice is not to to use these card for any purchases at all. Details on their website https://www.capitalone.co.uk

The advice on previous threads was to spend the £100, pay it all back straight away and then do the balance transfer.

The application on-line asks for details of the balance transfer(s). Does anyone know if the 15 months is honoured if you choose to transfer later? (ie after you've spent and repaid the £100 required)

    Yep,

Is there any feedback from people who have applied? Can you spend the £100 first, pay it back and then do the balance transfer?

they are useless. I have never been refused a credit card in my life other than from capitalone. NO LOGIC.

I did a similar thing with the Amazon credit card a few months back. I spent a couple of quid, waited for it to appear on the online statement, paid it off, received £15 Amazon voucher and then did a BT for the whole of my credit limit.

I think I might apply for one of thesebut I need to wait a while as I have applied for ,and received 4 credit cards since Christmas...I'm new to this stoozing and have just got started....please can people report back as to whether you can spend the £100, pay it off and then btI will need one nearer to August when the A&L 0% runs out. I have bt'd nearly £5000 on to my A&L card and they tell me that they will give me cash back on this ( 0.5%) and a 10% bonus of whatever the cashback amount is ....won't be much, and won't off set the 2% fee, but better than nothing

If I were you, I'd wait a bit longer. 4 searches since Christmas means you should probably wait until July as your credit rating would have dropped significantly and may lead to you being rejected. This would also have the advantage of you being able to transfer the A&L balance onto it.
