It has quite a short season Lenster,
Best place is a market, it's usually cheaper than the Supermarket, but Morrisons have it on offer at the mo 25% extra free.

Steam it rather than boiling or it'll lose the purple colour!

Len - the ones in profit are Barratt Development. I bought when they fell through the floor and even though they went even lower again, they are now climbing back up.

Just been to get Charlie for a couple of hours. Ex has the builders in from today starting work on repairing and then re-decorating the rooms damaged by the burst pipe back in Jan. He is a jammy booger though - all his LP's got wet under the bed and they were all taken by the reclaim company. He reckoned if he got £300 he would be happy - they called and said would £2,800 be ok - for just the records??!!! He still has around another 3k of contents he is claiming for to be agreed yet, he's waiting to hear on that - but £2,800 for the records is mad!

Instead of asking what you have to gain you should be asking what can I afford to lose?
that's what happened with Northern Rock. I bought as they fell as a gamble and apart from the last gasp of breath one afternoon they just kept falling and then were de-listed so I lost the whole lot _pale_

I've been sensible and I've drawn off the profit and sent £215 to my bank account. That won't clear the bill but with this month's payment will mean I can call next month and ask them to reduce it back down again.

that's the problem Maz - it's not something I know much about either, I'm dabbling in something I really don't know alot about and so far it's not been very successful - there's every chance I won't see a penny of the £2,700 I lost with Northern Rock :(

Don't be so sure BB, Northern Rock are slowly but surely picking themselves back up!
Wait and see on that one.

I think you have done the wise thing BB, the shares market is so up and down and especially in the building trade. It only take talk of say the price of concrete to go up that would send barratts shares plumetting. Even if they do go up further you have made money, paid off a bill (nearly) and you still have remaining shares that you can make more on.

Oh and Im back from 2 hours at the allotment :) it was beautiful and have done a fair bit more digging.
Have just text my boss and persuaded her to come running with me tonight, there is no way I can back out now which is a good thing as I was wavering whether to go or not

    Len have you been??
