I had a female rep from this company come up to me today in the street asking if I would want to watch movies for free. My instant reply was "no!" and she looked at me like I was weird. Then I thought as I walked away "I guess that is an unusual answer to such a question"

I think anyone who has been left Lovefilm for 6 months or more is eligible for free trials again, I actually got my 3 months for the price of 1 offer direct from Lovefilm themselves a few months after I cancelledthey DONT make up an address
also it depends how long you leave it as I just managed to re-activate an old account for a 30 day trial - not used it in about 18 months though

Thanks but this hasn't been the case for me of late. They did let me re-join and then a week into the trial cancelled it as they discovered I'd had a trial before.
It goes by address (and they are picking up "changed" post codes"), in addition, email addresses and card details will also flag you up as a previous customer. It's one trial once. Then they even don't allow another householder at the same address a free trial. If you've moved and it's a new applicant it's still tricky!
Fair play to them, I've abused the free trials and had 3 months free at a time on an off for years through them and Tesco (run by Lovefilm), alternating with Blockbuster etc to tart. However, I'm now paying £13 odd for 2 discs anytime (3 months for the price of 1) and I'm quite happy to pay that. Will downgrade package at the end of it but will stay - it's a good service imho.
pippitypipI know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok - they know me here!
