If a company donates say £10K to a charity what in effect does it cost them and what are the tax benefits?

I think if that organisation confirmed the said donation on paper, you can use it to get some kind of rebate.0

There is relief from Corporation Tax and the rates are given here:
http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/businesses/giving/companies.htm£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
