I couldn't get anything - Just a picture of some pretty boy for the first one.0

We don't need the pictures, it's a PPC ticket and therefore NOT a fine. Don't even think of paying it, no matter what ridiculous amounts and timescales for payment they dream up - just perforate all their letters and put them behind you.petit_lapin wrote: »Are the pictures working on tinypic. I only have until tomorrow to pay the fine before it goes up to £85. Is it something I need to be paying?
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
sorry - I can't read straight, it should be

Glad to see its a ppc invoice so its post 13 as suggested above.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I have had a recent run in with these clowns. I live in an apartment block and the private underground car park has been taken over by them.
I pay for my own parking spot but have received two parking tickets in my own space! The first when i was out of the country and the second some weeks later.
I was parked in my own spot (for which i pay rent from the landlord). I never actually received a physical ticket on my windscreen - only a demand for money weeks later. Before i'd done my research on these companies, I made the mistake of ringing them. They asked for written proof of my lease of that spot and my permit (which i didn't have at the time - plus I didn't want to give the impression of being in a verbal contract). After doing my reading, I decided to ignore them completely and rather predictably received a letter from Roxburghe DCA - hotly followed by their 'appointed solicitor Grahame White/Michael Sobell' who predictably have the same address.
I have written (once and once only to Roxburghe DCA/Grahame White - telling them to cease and desist from further contact since the ticket is disputed and to refer back to central ticketing. I have also written to central ticketing telling them that I will refuse to pay or engage in further correspondance - i'll gladly meet them in court.
Despite having evidence I feel it is not my burden to pay for ongoing postage to dispute an unenforceable fine. I have not incurred any financial cost to them by parking in my own space and have never willingly entered into a contract with them.I never received a ticket. They will not peruse my dispute claims or consider them. The 'penalty' is unenforceable. They could never prove i was the driver. I can easily understand why some people would pay. The letters look official and confident.
Thanks for all the postings which have given me confidence in my right.
Any further thoughts on how to handle any further letters? I imagine that just ignoring them is for the best.0 -
File them safely, cease communications.0

Thanks Duke of Earl, I have also now received threatening, and frankly quite upsetting letters from Roxburghe DCA and Grahame White but wasn't sure whether to write back, but as Coblcris has recommended I will keep quiet. I have kept the original ticket incase anything does come of it, to prove that they don't have a leg to stand on.0
