Be aware when calling through numbers like that, there are Priority Line numbers meant to only be used by Jobcentre Plus or the Department of Work and Pensions, and this will show up as a call from a Priority Line to the Tax Credits Helpline. JCP & DWP often give these numbers to people to use by accident but the helpline wont deal with a normal customer if you call through on one of these numbers.0

0845 is charged at local call rates on landline phones, whereas area codes are charged at a higher national rate. If using a mobile, you need to check the individual costs for your network as they could vary.0

if anyone is with BT I can recommend their tariff 3 which gives free calls from your landline to other landlines for up to one hour - I beleive they also now give free calls to 0870 and 0845 calls- but would advise anyone to double check that with BT
I pay £17 per month for this tariff and have seen my bills come down by about £45 per quarter
of course mobiles are charged for at the usual expensive rate

Now can we have the CSA one please (also Belfast for me - think I'll move to Norn Iron)
Bet if I did it would be somewhere else I'd have to phone LOLDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
